On September 4th Isidor and Ann Saslav will give a concert at University of Texas, marking the day of Edvard Grieg's death, 100 years ago. 
 
The concert is the third of four concerts presenting Grieg's three violin/piano sonatas.
 
The concerts have been organized by concert violinist/concertmaster Isidor Saslav (Texas, USA) in the years 2006-07. Each concert has featured a varied selection of concert violin/piano duo performers, one duo for each sonata.
 
On each concert Ann and Isidor Saslav have performed the Second Sonata, Op. 13.
 
The concerts have taken and will take place at the Longview (TX) Symphony, Northwestern Louisiana State University, the University of Texas at Austin, and the Northwestern State University of Louisiana. 
 
At the first concert Per Brevig, President and founder of the Grieg Society of New York, introduced Grieg and his music to the audience.

Violinists who have performed in this project include Mark Miller, concertmaster of the East Texas Symphony in Tyler, TX (the orchestra which Per Brevig conducts), Jennifer Dalmas, faculty at Stephen F. Austin University in Texas, Andre Kurti, faculty Northwestern State University of Louisiana, Brian Lewis, faculty of the University of Texas at Austin, Stephanie D'Ambrogio, concertmistress of the San Antonio Symphony in Texas, Richard Luby, faculty the University of North Carolina, etc.; and pianists Ron Clinton, Linda Parr of SFA, Robert Freeman, Dean of Fine Arts at the UTAustin, Tonu Kalam, conductor of the Longview Symphony in Texas and of the University of North Carolina Symphony, Anton Nel, Head of the piano faculty, University of Texas, etc
